It is worth mentioning that the car park at Perdiswell is illuminated at night by a vast array of lights, I presume every night. I don't know if they're switched off when the swimming pool closes.

I'm guessing that for the last God knows how many years, the 6 a side pitches at Perdiswell have also been floodlit?

It's the latest initiative from Cllr Jones........illuminate the area in order to reduce any likelihood of break-ins toproperties along Bilford Road, Kingston Avenue etc., The brightness of the lighting will also enable local residents to reduce their energy bills as they won't need all the house lighting on (they may have to leave the curtains open, of course).

It's May so that it'll be after the elections, in the hope that by the following election everybody will have forgotten who voted for it.

And that is what narks us so much, the decisions regarding the rehoming of the premier football club representing the City of Worcester is not being made based on the value it brings to the city of Worcester, but instead its all about politics. Those of us in the know know that, if this was all left to council officers, the decision would be made based on what it brings to Worcester, however, the councillors are playing games to protect their political position. If Gareth Jones had a safe comfortable ride into St Stephens, he'd not object to Perdiswell in the way he is, but its a vote winner (or vote loser) and the Tories know it. Knowing some of the latest shenanigans that have gone on behind the scenes, this is a massive political football being kicked around, and along the way, our elected councillors of a blue persuasion have forgotten that there's a sporting body representing this City thats being damaged irrevocably by their efforts.

Well said! Councillors are supposed to swear an oath of allegiance upon on taking up office to the Citizens they represent. A number of City fans live in the City itself and the Councillors have a duty to them.

Sunday represents three years since the planning application was submitted. Three years this has dragged on! It's nearer 5 years if you take into consideration the work done to get the application in. At a cost of around £45K that is a bargain thanks entirely to the work done by Mark and Marcus. Most of the money came from the fans as well. Saying it has dragged on implies that this has been some kind of irritation to you DTL. I believe this is our only hope of getting backing into the city and it will mean more hard work and fundraising to make it happen even if planning is approved. Maybe that would be a good time for everyone to get behind Perdiswell, even you DTL.

Sunday represents three years since the planning application was submitted. Three years this has dragged on! But roughly 17 years shorter than it took Nunnery Way to go nowhere and that was with a Project Manager who was paid a significant amount of money, a Project Leader who was responsible entirely for the contracts and gentleman's agreements along the way and a whole load of goings on that people like you either knew nothing about or turned a blind eye to.

You know saying this is our only hope of getting back into the city is untrue. There are some extremely gullible people involved with this Football Club but even you, downthelane, don't make the top 10 and that really takes some doing.

3 years....yes we know....while some were sat doing nothing we all got together and put a real Plan B on the table....at the time Plan A was Nunnery Way.....at least publically it was anyway.
What other options are there exactly ? What other options are there for a club that doesnt have a pot to pi $$ in and will be gone by end of next season ?

This is a public forum, whatever is posted is there for all to see. Sunday represents three years since the planning application was submitted. Three years this has dragged on! I know, it's pretty amazing isn't it? Only three years! Yes it's dragged on and feels like longer, but it really is only three years, which in planning timescales is incredible. Imagine if the football club had had this team of Mark and Marcus on the Nunnery Way project? Remember, SMD wrote a ten year timescale into the contracts with the club. Carey New Homes, who were only doing a lift and drop scheme for houses at SGL wrote a five year timescale into their contracts with the club!

I am more real than the chances of Perdiswell being built. As you know even if Perdiswell gets planning, the Council have said the land won't be transferred, plus there isn't the realistic finances to build the scheme, yet you still continue to suggest to supporters that this blind alley scheme is the saviour of the football club.
