Well done Warriors, back in the premiership. I know many on this board won't celebrate - but this can only be good for Worcester. Success brings success - let's hope some rubs up off on us.

Here here! Well done the Warriors and what an amazing couple of games. I have never understood the rugby v football rivalry (is it a jealousy thing?). I think it's a bit sad if you can't be happy for your own city's success. I enjoy watching both sports but am primarily Worcester through and through. It is great to have Worcester represented in the Premiership and for me it is a real positive for the city.

Could not agree more, anyone who likes sport (or not ) should be proud of the achievements of The Warriors and the Cricket team as both are in the top flight of their sport. Why certain Worcester people do not want WCFC back is beyond me

It will be interesting to see what their attendances are like next season. Warriors draw in a lot of rugby people from Birmingham but with Wasps at the Ricoh now the attraction of following a "better" team could see Sixways less than full

Don't forget the Basketballers as well...

I agree it is good news for both Warriors and the city of Worcester in general. Just a shame they were shelfish when they turned WCFC's request for a temporary ground share down.

I don't know the detail, but I don't think it's fair to pass the entire blame onto the rugby club on this one.

But didn't Boddy hold talks many moons ago - and pissed Cecil Duckworth off?

As long as promotion and relegation are retained in the Rugby Premiership, then I'm sure that they will initially get good crowds. Take that away for 3 to 4 years as has been mooted with an increase to 14 teams, then who cares who wins and who finishes where ? Why bother going to watch the battle to finish 12th, 13th, 14th ?
WN generated story ? Get away. The home of lazy journalism with syndicated match reports for sport, little questioning of big business and local authorities, ego buffing PR for certain councillors. It used to be a newspaper once.
