I reckon we'll be playing them in Conference North next season, as I already said in the post "Neighbour's Turmoil".
On Good Friday/Easter Monday like the "good old days"?

The more I hear and read tells me what a good job the Board have done to keep City living within their means. Hereford should have stopped thinking they were a Football League club and embraced quicker what is needed to survive at non league level. Surely there must be a real chance that they could be in the Southern League (or lower) next season because if they do not clear their football related debts by the time of the Conference AGM they will be booted out.

The irony here is that they ran their club so much better than we did for years and once got to the second tier of the old Football League. Total tragedy that they end up like this and I, for one, take no pleasure in their fate.

Hereford have got typical football club mentality, they've been spending money they haven't got. We've done this in the past and look what's happened to us. I do think our current Board are doing a good job of running the Club within it's means. If Hereford were to drop to Southern League or lower, could they afford to continue at Edgar Street?

They dont own Edgar Street so depends what deal the council would do.
They have now paid 20k of the 78k, Hereford fans are wondering why theyve paid part of it off now and not paid it all in one lump sum

Will be interesting to see whether Hereford are still a conference premier club by end of the week..
Is the conference AGM. The new owners are still talking about the possibility of CVA or administration; the winding up petition brought by Martin Foyle has been adjourned for 28 days. And the club has to have no outstanding debts in order to satisfy the Conference....
Looks a little bleak for them

Well I really hope they get the finance to stay where they are, what pleasure can anyone find in any team going bust ?

Looks a little bleak for them The Vice Chairman of the Hereford Utd Supporters Trust suggests, on BBC Hereford and Worcester this morning that the Conference might bend the rules for Hereford because of all the away supporters they have.

Why should they bend the rules ? This is the third time they have had to answer a winding up petition. Theyve been managed badly off the field since Graham Turner left. Too many of these idiots allowed in football clubs and you have to wonder how they still get support from sections of the clubs supporters.....rings bells !!
What will that show to the teams that have already been made to suffer by losing their places in their league pyramids over the years ? Northwich, Chester, Halfiax and all the other teams down the years.
If the league let them off without HUFC putting in a good sized bond then that would be a farce.
Just remember this also effects Chester and our league

"Northwich, Chester, Halfiax " - add Scarborough, Darlington, Kettering and Rushden & Diamonds to that list.
I'm just glad we're still in Conference North.

Apparently, Hereford have failed to pay football creditors by 5pm deadline set by Football Conference and so face relegation from the conference structure

I'm happy for Chester if they get a reprieve. But a few weeks ago we were looking at the possibility of some potential big gates next season - Chester, Hereford, FCU Manchester plus a local derby with Stourbridge. It looks as if all that potential has disappeared.

Looks like they've been given a reprieve, until Saturday......... Come on HUFC, no one wants to see another club relegated for bad financial reasons.

Hereford's (the club, not the supporters) behaviour and practices have been verging on disgraceful
They should have been ejected by now

Not just Hereford but those repeat offenders Salisbury City owe players' wages and have also been given time to pay. Suppose the Conference are saving themselves the hassle of switching a southern club to the frozen north if they kicked them out!

It's easily forgotten but when we were in financial trouble in 1986 the good people of Hereford gave us some support. They played us in the Wyvern Cup to help boost our coffers and I'm sure many of you will recall the guy who walked from Hereford to the Lane balancing a pint of beer on his head! I take no pleasure from their current misfortune.

One thing that did emerge from the Conference AGM is that Worcester City through Joe Murphy are now a Board Member which in the murky world of football politics it is better to be on the inside as witnessed by previous years when Southport were reprieved from relegation and just happened to have a Conference Board member.

In my heart of hearts I'm not even sure they are going to be in the Southern League: we shall know next Friday if they've met the SL requirements.
It's a sorry day for non-league football and thank goodness it ain't us!

Hard to believe a "businessman" would just accept the word of another "businessman" that the debts were 300k when the accounts for 2013 which are a public record showed a debt liability of 1.3 million. A lot of football supporters think their clubs are run by crooks Hereford United are owned by one (again in the public domain and admitted by the guy) Large number of their fans want a new Supporters Trust led club.
