How do you get to the online shop? If its via the main website I couldnt find the link? Also I think someone should suggest to Widdy to use the big match as trials for a place in the City XI

Turn that frown upside down fella. Until we know anything concrete then we must stick together and fight ! You said it. No effing communication from the club. It's a joke. They have said so little everyone is so peed of they now couldn't give amonkeys what happens Just shows how little they care for the common supporters

Exactly, the communication is so poor from the board of directors it's laughable! How on earth they expect the City of Worcester to support them is beyond belief, I for one and many others wont bother with a legends friendly WHY? I want to know what's happening to our club. B******S to this sort of friendly u can shove it unless we have team to support! This club lives in a upside down world end off.

I read a statement from the chairman (BBC) and vice chairman the last two days running, it appears that the Worcester News isn't upto date with stories.
They are locked in (as stated in WEN, BBC, BBC H&W etc etc) talks with WCC and St Modwens until those talks have finished its business as usual.
As they stated until talks have finished between those parties they cannot say anything, it's business as usual, as I say until we have anything concrete then kept fighting.
This game is as much a Lane sendoff as a fundraiser for the future, either WCFC or whoever as either to keep us going or to help us start again.

No the send off was last game of the season 4000+ fans! So it's a sham this legends game. Have we got a club to support?

Can you not read? It's a fundraiser. It's aimed at generating money. Money so your club can survive. Throwing your toys out the pram because, believe it or not the board have got something better to do than giving you an update every 15 seconds, is not helping your club survive.

Sorry I must also add that this is an event that the Trust have taken on in way of aiding the club, and are looking at raising as much as possible to help the club.

Too add, supporting this event would be supporting the club !
If we sell 2,000 adult tickets on the terrace that £20,000 that's the rent for next season paid for plus a little left over.
If we can raise enough money from this too add to the clubs money from season tickets etc we will have a club and you never know possibly a bigger budget again

It's been muted that Cardiff will be a preseason for us. Any truth in that ? It would only take a few big names brining a decent team instead of the normal youth teams to give us some big gates I would think this would give us some real benefits Big gates & getting people to The Kiddy ground for a first time to name just two Does anyone have a real contact at a premier club & would the management team find a place for this type of fixture over & above what they have in the pipe line ? This would also apply to anyone who knows a major star perhaps not playing now who is interested in grass roots football Unfortunately I don't but surely we have someone who could pull a few heart strings somewhere Just a thought. !

maybe1day and travellingsupporter, how thick are you both? The board of directors are busy trying to negotiate a way forwards and until they have something new to say, why should they keep making statements for the sake of it.
In the meantime I have bought my £100 season ticket and I will be coming to the Liverpool Legends game. Why? Because I want to help contribute to keeping the club going by helping raise money for next season. What exactly is your moaning doing to help the club?
It is because of 'supporters' like you that the club is in this mess in the first place. Moan moan moan, but do little to help actually help make things better! If we had more supporters like Rob Crean, Dave Wood and everyone else on the Supporters Trust board who are rolling up their sleeves and pitching in rather than just carping on from the sidelines, the club may just have a future.

The trust has my backing, but the communication sometimes is very vague! if you're down tonight make yourself know and we can have a chat. It's fair to say communication could have been better from the club and that's regrettable but we are where we are. We (all) need to be concentrating on the next two years to try and get back to Worcester at perdiswell. All of the events are going towards that end and it's going to cost the trust around ten grand. The Liverpool game is very expensive to host and we need this to be well supported otherwise the trust will lose money that can ill afford. back it and we'll have a chance, wait for "something" to happen and we surely won't. In fact every time the trust gets mentioned people seem to think that's a massive UN type organization with overflowing resources! It's a core few people who do all this because the only way to survive. If anyone reading this board really wants to make a difference come and get active with the trust. It's going to be a roller coaster ride for the next two years. Don't let yourselves fall into passive resignation, get involved.

It is because of 'supporters' like you that the club is in this mess in the first place. PEDANT i think an apology is in order for this totally out of order comment, this is a forum and to make such a stupid and pathetic remark to suggest the clubs troubles are down to to supporters of this club wether you agree with a comment or not is TOTAL BOLLOCKS and only isolate supporters not bringing them together, you have annoyed me and probable others, its the incompetance of previous board members and poor buisness skills that as brought this club to its knees, not the comments of supporters on this Forum.

The trust has my backing, but the communication sometimes is very vague! +1 those would be my words too except I would say the communication is pathetic, contradictory and unprofessional to the point of being totally amateurish which is doing the club no favors. I want it to succeed just feels they are doing things to ensure they don't.

Thoroughly good job. Wasn't there as long as I might have been as I brought a friend with me who had to be shown some of Worcesters "alcoholic delights"but the couple of hours we were there was much enjoyed. My mate(who hates football which is why he has never been up before)spent all 2 hours saying"how can all this be let go","what a terrible shame"and"those responsible should hang their heads in shame".Couldn't have put it better myself!!

Wow Liverpool legends. Do we know who is in the team? if it is to be a start studded side that will be worth seeing, not sure it will draw many in if it is a team of unknowns. Have to agree with Travelling Supporter about the contradictory output. I am more than a little confused and it would be good to explain what is happening. Is 1500 ticklets, 1000 tickets and many other questions could be better explained. The message has been totally lost with me.

It would be good to have a few confirmed names (from both sides) to help drum up some interest. I have lots of Liverpool supporting mates and if I could chuck some names at them, I may be able to get them buying tickets.
In the past the likes of Alan Kennedy, Mark Walters, Phil Babb, Phil Neal and Mark Wright have been involved for such Liverpool Legends teams, and I hope that some of these may be at SGL!
I assume Carl will want to captain the City Legends, and I hope we might see the likes of Mark Owen, Danny McDonnell, Ian Cotterill, Selbs (?) turning out as well.

I understand the release of names is controlled by the Liverpool Legends people. They obviously don't want to announce the full list until all those in the squad have confirmed their availability. I don't know much about Liverpool but recognise most of those who've played in previous Legends games for them. I asked in the office about this and they reckon they should get confirmation soon. As this is costing a fair amount to set up I hope City fans can support this even if you haven't any particular Liverpool connections. It is a fundraiser after all so should be a fun day out.

bit of a theme isn't there ? another great idea spoilt by not giving the whole story. mentioned this at work, everyones first question is who is playing, when you say you don't know as they haven't given any ideas they lose interest. I am sure the final XI will change but to at least give an idea of players who are likely to play or have played is better than none at all. could be 11 players only die hard Liverpool supporters might know so can't sell a ticket until they all know who is playing. shame but typical of the club really
