How ironic would that be? Prescott's new club hosting the club that he and his Board ruined!

Went to have a look at it today and it looks in good nick. Would prefer this option over Kiddy, Evesham or Redditch.

The idea of a car park making cash just doesnt work, its so easy to find a free parking space near Bromsgroves ground, theres a retail park just opposite.

The facility is there to be used and if it makes any sort of income on a matchday then we will use it, a game against Nuneaton, Telford etc etc who may bring a bus or a few we could easily make a sum of money.
The car park will be manned throughout each game so theres added security.
All in all its a good idea.

No, I used to go there to every away game we played there, but I'm just too busy to watch football now, any football.

See Jem what you forget is WCFC will lose the following:
Sponsorship Rent From Nutz For Sports Money we recieve from Refreshments Money From Legends Bar And a few other ventures
WCFC needs to make and save money where possible, yeah this idea might not save the club but at least its some money to go towards our rent.

What car parks.......a lot has changed since we last played a competitive game there. But the ground itself is in really good shape and there are buses and trains to Worcester at 22.20 ish on week nights for those that choose not to drive there. As I said earlier......I would not be upset if we ended up there.

Kev, I don't forget any of those things, least of all the £62,500 hole to be filled by the Careys sponsorship! but all problems that teams like Newport County, and Evesham, to name but two have managed to manage. But the flip side is, no cost of safety work, or league conditions.

Well from what ive read Bromsgrove Sporting still have to have a Safety Certificate in place and the usual fire fighting equipment etc etc, so as far as that goes.. You never know. IF we can make enough sponsorship money through the programme, website, shirts etc then we will make enough to pay the rent easily, leaving gate recipts, merchandise sales, programme sales and anything furthher fundraising to pay the wages and make a profit. To be honest we could (i think) survive there and make the club a profit. But heyho Man U in the FA Cup next year and our troubles will be over The pictures ive got show a car park at the front of the ground with a large one behind the ground down a lane ?? Rovers probably sold them when going bust !!

It's a shame that brome grove is the nearest ground suitable. It's a bloody long way from Pershore.

We would no doubt be cheaper Jem

There are bigger things to think about than parking, and there was always enough free parking on the streets when crowds were 2000, and you've got the retail park over the road which is free, and Asda. Lee, I would hope that the club would run buses from SGL for supporters.

From the Bromsgrove Sporting forum:
" I'd have thought Evesham or Redditch would be better options for them, both in terms of travelling and because those grounds (presumably) already have the required grading.
Besides, if the ground is already going to be hosting Sporting, the Reserves, Sunday league footy, a ladies team and a youth team, adding even more matches into the equation might not necessarily be the best option, even if it did bring in a few more shekels"

Don't people know wherer Worcester is? Redditch is a further 10 miles away than Bromsgrove, and Evesham is the same distance, but on a poor A road rather than mostly motorway. The closest in time is Bromsgrove. The point about the pitch is a good one, and this is where the multi-pitches at Evesham could be beneficial

It is good to see the options being explored.
