I have got to agree with you It is embarrassing that he represents the club I don't doubt his commitment and dedication to the club but his professionalism just isn't their I Heard he was a kiddy fan? Captain Crazy was Dj at Kiddy for over 15 years before they decided to dispense with his services. He is a bit like Marmite but I think Non league football would be a sadder place without people like him.

I agree 'people like him' are needed, the time and effort is always needed and should be appreciated But maybe not Captain Crazy himself? I think maybe he is past his sell by date and not with the modern way of doing things?

I came across this quote on the City website and, rather than start a new thread, thought I'd pick up from where things left off:
"Worcester City finance director Andrew Watson said "I am pleased to say that Worcester City is one of the 47. The club did previously have outstanding liabilities to HMRC but the last payment in settlement of these was made in September. We are fully up to date now with our payments and will be keeping it that way."
"The 47" is the forty-seven clubs listed by Conference chairman Brian Lee as being up to date with payments to HM Revenue & Customs, of which - it would appear - we are one. When we read in the NLP every Sunday of a club about to be taken to Court for non payment of NI, tax or VAT this is indeed good news. Let's hope the club can keep it this way.

I think that one of the first things the new board did was prioritise the debts. I'm sure Anthony knows all about how to do that properly There's no point in paying the kit supplier before the Revenue. The previous regime seemed to prefer to sweep it all under the carpet and hope that it would go away. All credit to Andrew and Anthony for keeping things ship-shape, and transparent! Although of course, I dont know why they bother paying anyone, after all, they can pay them when we move to Nunnery Way!!!!!
