No, I'm still allowed to read his books. Which one? James and the Giant Peshwari Nan? Charlie and the Chapatti Factory? And wasn't Tarka Dahl an otter?

No that was Tarka Massala, which is like Chicken Tikka Massala only 'otter. And I thought that the title of that other book about otters was 'Ring of Bright Water'? Must have been 'Ring of Fire'!!

No that was Tarka Massala, which is like Chicken Tikka Massala only 'otter. Correct punch line is “like chicken tikka massala only it's a little otter”. This is my favourite punch line, closely followed by "No. He's taller than that" and "mascarpone".

That's just silly. Or do you mean just the dahl. No, he's serious. Darrell told me of the time he ate that dodgy curry from a Coventry take away, lost consciousness and fell in to a deep korma.

While out of it he hallucinated and saw a magical indian creature that kept changing colour while playing a mouth organ. Turned out it was a Korma Chameleon.

I gave up dyeing my hair when I realised it was the same colour as Dave Boddy's! I'd start again if he was to convert to a cheeky little redhead!

For the benefit of the uneducated ( aka Niels) that is a Fedora, a popular style of felt hat, wider brimmed than a trilby, perfect for keeping the rain off a gentlemans spectacles, its NOT a bloody Stetson!!

But one would be an idiot to consider him a gentleman!! And in any case he's failed, you need a wide brim, thats why even a Trilby isn't good enough, it needs to be a Fedora, and if its good enough for Inspector Foyle, its good enough for me. Practical headwear for a wearer of spectacles, and it goes very well with my Equalizer overcoat I mean you can't go into meetings wearing a bloody blue and white wooly hat now can you?
