Club ties may not be a badge of office, however they are also not a badge to be flashed to give access for free to a football ground. The Directors really should make sure ground staff are aware that Boddy is no more than a shareholder now, and he pays for games like any other shareholder.
Ealing, thinking you're a still a policeman (albeit an actor playing a policeman) is one thing, suffering delusions of still being a non-league football club director takes delusion far past the boundaries of just being sad.

FYI Metropolitan Police officer uniforms (circa 1959) are also available from the club shop- no "away" option though.

In an article in today's NLP entitled 'Boddy Retains Board Position' our former Chairman explains that he 'is honoured and privileged' to remain on the Conference Board - despite no longer being involved with a member club. The league normally does not allow anyone unconnected with a BSP, BSN or BSS club to sit on the board, but his involvement with the Football Conference Youth Alliance offers him 'a stay of execution'. In the article, Boddy also talks about 'the small minority' (blah blah blah) and he 'refuses to be drawn about a possible role with another club' (!!!!) Please, Dave, Harriers need you!

"he 'refuses to be drawn about a possible role with another club' " At this very moment those involved at Upton F.C. are changing the locks!

This reminds me of Jack Warner - the actor who played Sergeant Dixon in the BBC's Dixon of Dock Green for decades. After he retired he could be seen wandering around Shepherd's Bush dressed as a policeman. Sad and deluded. This is deeply worrying. The words "actor", "played", "Dixon" suggest that you believe that George Dixon wasnt a real policeman? Now that IS is sad and deluded.

If Jack Warner's the football guru - then does that mean that Dave Boddy is the mentally challenged individual shuffling around Shepherd's Bush in a policeman's uniform?
Confused of West London.

I fear that we may be talking about different Jack Warners, however, name association always offers up good humour. And just to add to Lord Ealings state of confusion, here is a photograph of the othe Dave Boddy
