yay!!! We're all insulting each other again!!!! I like it like this. Remember the year we had three home ties in a row, Romulus, hemel and Basingstoke And had to replay them all, thus ensuring three away trips to new grounds for those who get excited by such things. yes I went to them all - but as they were Tuesday nights I had no time for pub visits

Oi Burnham Lad. If there's no replay I'm coming to The Gore for a Saturday game after Christmas. Followed by a stop off at Reading

I have been down there on several occasions although not since the ground was redeveloped.Used to be 3 sided with a cricket ground on 4th side(amblecote"ish")but not anymore apparently. It might just be me but I have always found it a nightmare to find-Don't think I've ever been to it the same way twice & remember passing a little shop/post office about 5 times one evening!Leave early!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's a City fan who lives in Oxford, just like Ealing (who lives in Ealing) or Preston (who lives in Preston).

I suspect he could be Finn - Big Match goalscorer extraordinaire.

"I had been to Slough to look at machinery" - hell, it's good to be alive. It was many moons ago Ealing, when I was working.

"It was many moons ago Ealing, when I was working." I still do like looking at machines! Especially steam driven thingies - and I've no excuse like work. I'm just a sad bastard.

Hello blast past from Fin here, though I browse here frequently I've not logged on for so long I had to re-register. The Oxford chappie it isn't me by the way, though when I used to travel by train to the football I occasionally bumped into a Worcester fan based in/near Oxford called Steve I recall. I still live in Merton, 11 miles the wrong side of Oxford for a city fan. Thanks for the kind words about that goal in the first Big Match. I loved that night and that goal taken with my wrong left foot I'll never forget, I'll also never forget the fact that my brother who was watching had threatened to streak that night if I scored (he was so confident that I wouldn't) strangely he cut a very low profile after that goal. Not been to the football for a long while have spent some years working on the house eating into many of my weekends, but that work is pretty much complete now so may start getting back along though I really don't think I've missed much during the last couple of years since my last trip to the lane. Fin

I wish that I had known that in May when I drove within 50 miles of that village. Although somehow I don't think I would have been the only Niels visiting Niels considering that half of the male population of Denmark go by that name.

Burnhamlad, could you tell Daza that the burger bar at your place is crap, with miniscule portions, and there are no pubs in the town. Perhaps then he'll stop whining about a replay. No pubs in Burnham!!! I remember having a jolly good lunch in a pub in Burnham, when I had been to Slough to look at machinery. We have more pubs than we know what to do with in the village! There are six pubs and a bar, plus three Indian type restaurants, a chippie, three posh cafes and a greasy spoon, a sandwich bar ....... And the nosh at the ground is not bad either in the new stand food bar, plus the Bar. Could be academic of course!
